Over several years, Chandru Ramesh has travelled, studied and mapped Braj's sacred geography; worked on Krishna history, artefacts and material culture; and examined its temples, pilgrimage routes, cultural memory and living traditions.
On this journey, he connects a kund, a hill, a temple, a sculpture, a text and a local memory - while making clear whether an idea comes from sacred tradition, historical interpretation, archaeology, later history or present practice.
His role is not to turn the yatra into a continuous lecture. He frames the day, interprets important sites, leaves room for darshan and observation, welcomes questions and draws the connections together.

The four-day journey forms the core Braj circuit. The fifth day extends the experience into Gokul, Mahavan, Raman Reti and Baldeo. Every departure will clearly state whether it is four or five days.
DAY 1 | MATHURA
Enter Braj through sacred memory, ancient urban history, art and archaeology. The day introduces the questions and relationships that will guide the journey.
DAY 2 | VRINDAVAN
Encounter temple traditions, devotional lineages, poetry, music and the historical making of a living sacred town.
DAY 3 | GOVARDHAN AND SACRED WATER
Read Govardhan, Kusum Sarovar, Radha Kund and Shyam Kund as connected parts of a pilgrimage landscape. The exact form of parikrama will be stated for the departure.
DAY 4 | BARSANA AND NANDGAON
Explore Radha and Krishna traditions across hill settlements, homes, temples and community memory, followed by a closing synthesis of the four-day journey.
DAY 5 | OPTIONAL EXTENSION
Continue to Gokul, Mahavan, Raman Reti and Baldeo to explore childhood traditions, the wider family of Braj and the landscape beyond the four-day core.
The exact temple sequence, joining point, completion point, stays, meals and timings will be confirmed for each departure. Site access and sequence may change because of temple timings, crowds, security, weather or local conditions.

Expect early starts, walking, standing, narrow lanes, steps and stronger crowds during Kartik. The confirmed departure details will state the activity level and any available alternatives.
Temple Etiquette
Before relevant visits, travellers are briefed about modest clothing, footwear, phones, photography, belongings, queues and respectful participation. Special access or darshan cannot be guaranteed.
Vegetarian Food
Meals directly selected, arranged and paid for by Bhumivox are intended to contain no meat, fish or eggs. Jain and no-onion/no-garlic requests require advance notice and supplier confirmation. Allergies should be discussed before booking.
Stays and Movement
