1 · Introduction & Acceptance
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the website www.bhumivox.com (“Website”) and any journeys, services or communications you receive from Bhumivox Experiences Private Limited (“Bhumivox”, “we”, “our” or “us”). By using the Website, submitting an enquiry, or booking a journey, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website or book any Bhumivox journey.
These Terms are effective from August 2026 and may be updated from time to time — see Section 10.
2 · About Bhumivox and Our Services
Bhumivox Experiences Private Limited is a company incorporated in India, engaged in the design and operation of heritage and civilisational journeys across India and South Asia. Our registered office is at [PLACEHOLDER — 1/2C, Kannan Street, Korukkupet, Chennai — 600021].
Bhumivox is not a conventional tour operator. We design research-led journeys with historian interpretation. Our published journeys, private departures, and custom curations are all subject to these Terms.
Bhumivox Experiences Private Limited operates independently from Historika Foundations (an independent nonprofit). Any reference on our Website to Historika’s research is made under formal acknowledgement — see the individual journey pages for specific research attributions.
3 · Use of the Website & Our Content

You may use our Website to browse information about our journeys, submit enquiries, make bookings, and communicate with our team. You may share our public pages and content on social media in unmodified form with proper attribution.
Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, republish or exploit our Website content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
- Use automated systems (scrapers, bots) to extract data from our Website.
- Interfere with the Website’s operation or security.
- Impersonate any person, misrepresent your identity, or provide false information in enquiries or bookings.

Our intellectual property
All content on this Website — including text, images, logos, journey names, itineraries, and design — is owned by or licensed to Bhumivox Experiences Private Limited. The Bhumivox name, logo and marks are our trademarks. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use them without our written permission.
Copyright and content associated with Historika Foundations or referenced third parties (photographers, historians, publishers) belong to their respective owners and are used with permission or fair-use principles.
4 · Bookings and Your Travel Contract
Enquiries and bookings
When you submit an enquiry, our team will contact you within 24 hours (business days) to discuss your journey, confirm availability and guide you through booking. Only when you make the initial reservation payment does a booking become confirmed.
Your travel contract
Your confirmed booking creates a contract between you and Bhumivox Experiences Private Limited on the terms outlined on the specific journey page, in your booking confirmation, and in these Terms. If there is any inconsistency, the terms of your booking confirmation prevail for that specific journey.
Accuracy of information
You are responsible for providing accurate personal, contact, medical, dietary and identification information at the time of booking. We are not liable for consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete information you provide.
Group departures and private journeys
Published departures operate as small-group journeys. Private and custom departures are subject to separately agreed terms tailored to your group.
5 · Payment, Cancellation and Refunds
Payment
Full payment terms, including the reservation payment and balance schedule, are shared in your booking confirmation. Standard terms are:
- 25% at confirmed reservation.
- Balance 75% due 45 days before departure.
- Full payment at confirmation for departures booked within 45 days.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified.
Cancellation by you
Cancellations must be made in writing (email or WhatsApp confirmation). Refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel:
- 60+ days before departure: Full refund minus administrative fee.
- 30–60 days before departure: Partial refund per our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- Less than 30 days before departure: Refer to the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Full details are set out in our separate [PLACEHOLDER LINK to Cancellation & Refund Policy].
No-shows
If you fail to arrive for a confirmed journey without prior notice, no refund is due.
6 · Changes to Journeys & Force Majeure
Modifications by Bhumivox
We reserve the right to make reasonable modifications to any journey — including the itinerary, accommodation, timings, transport, journey leader, or specific site inclusions — where circumstances require. Such circumstances may include but are not limited to:
- Weather, seasonal conditions or temple timings.
- Changes at heritage sites, restricted access or safety concerns.
- Operational, transport or accommodation constraints.
- Government advisories or regulatory changes.
- Force majeure events (see below).
Where modifications materially affect the character of a journey, we notify confirmed travellers as soon as reasonably possible, and where relevant offer suitable alternatives.
Cancellation by Bhumivox
We may cancel a departure if:
- Minimum group size is not reached.
- Force majeure events prevent safe or reasonable delivery.
- Any operational reason makes delivery impracticable.
In such cases, you receive a full refund of all payments made, or the option to transfer your booking to another departure or a private journey at no additional cost. Bhumivox is not liable for any incidental costs (such as flights, visas, insurance) incurred by you independently.
Journey leader
Every published departure identifies its intended leader in advance. Selected departures are led by Chandru Ramesh; others are led by qualified Bhumivox historians. In the rare event the intended leader changes, we notify confirmed travellers as soon as possible.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform any obligation to the extent caused by force majeure — including natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, transport disruption, or any event beyond reasonable control.
7 · Your Responsibilities as a Traveller
By booking a Bhumivox journey, you agree to:
- Travel documents: Hold a valid passport, visa (where applicable), and any other required identification for the duration of your journey.
- Health and fitness: Be reasonably fit for the physical demands of the journey you have selected, and disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility requirements at the time of booking.
- Travel insurance: Arrange your own comprehensive travel insurance covering medical, evacuation, cancellation and trip disruption — travel insurance is not included in Bhumivox’s journey fee, and we strongly recommend it for all travellers.
- Conduct: Behave respectfully towards fellow travellers, our team, local communities, custodians and sacred sites.
- Local laws and customs: Comply with all applicable local laws, temple etiquette, and reasonable instructions from your journey leader.
- Personal belongings: Take reasonable care of your own personal belongings.
We reserve the right to remove any traveller from a journey — without refund — whose conduct is unlawful, unsafe, or persistently disruptive to the group.
8 · Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Bhumivox’s total liability arising out of any journey shall not exceed the total amount you paid for that journey.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or special damages.
- We are not liable for losses caused by force majeure, third-party service providers acting outside our control, or your own acts and omissions.
- We are not liable for the acts, omissions, or standards of independent third parties (hotels, airlines, transport providers, local guides, temple authorities) beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.
9 · Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Grievance Redressal
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, your booking, or any Bhumivox journey shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [PLACEHOLDER — Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India].

Your continued use of the Website or any journey after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
